I'm quite anxious to play with it! :)

I'm really sorry, but I don't know what do you mean by "custom background"...

If it's the MC intermission interface, then it is already included in the campaign.

Oh, dont need to answer everything. Is just a player commentary :) . I'll try to take a look in the weapons file.

Yes, I know, but I simply must explain things sometimes. But I promise I will try to keep myself " :-# " as much as possible, when explanation won't be needed.

I was reffering to the BK-friendly version I suggested a long time ago. :)

Just came back to enjoying this campaign after a break from BK, I finished the last couple of Moscow missions and the Stalingrad missions over the past few days but am now stuck on the first Kursk mission, Firm in Spirit.

I've read some of the posts in here on how to overcome the German attacks in this mission and, while I have not failed the mission yet, one or two more attacks by German Tigers/Ferdinands will surely wipe out all my useful forces (AT guns and tanks).

I am backed to my last line of defenses but still have many tanks... Is there any way I can use my tanks more effectively to defend? At the moment I keep them behind the lines and then send them in to take the German panzers from the side, however by this time there are many panzers bunched up and even if I destroy them they manage to kill a lot of my tanks in the process... I also can't entrench my tanks and wait for the enemy because the Tigers and Ferdinands will spot them and be able to out-range and out-gun them.

Any help on better defense would be appreciated. [-o<

I still can't stress enough how much I like the campaign Gordon, quality work! =D>

Well, the best option is still use your tanks as reserve and attack from more than one side. The infantry, even without AT weapons, can be used to confuse the enemy tanks. The AT guns must be positioned behind the bushes and protected. This mean: when the enemy attacks with armoured vehicles with rapid fire is better use your tanks.
Dont stop to lay mines and finally dont give up untill you have a tank. I won this mission with just some 2 or 3 tanks remaining.

BTW, you can move most of the defences on the right side of the map (in the citty) to the center. The best enemy attacks are on the center.

Ah, I get it. :) Well, now I'm working on an interface for FW and that is far more better than in MC (MC interface is more than a year old stuff  ), and also more "vanilla-BK-friendly", so I will talk to Ufiak, about releasing that one later on.

@ Trendkill:

Try everything what BB says, that's the best way to win.

And one more tip: You can use your AT teams (submachinegunners), if you have any. The best thing to do with them is to at least immobilize (if not entirely destroy) Ferdinands, so they will become an easy target for your tanks (when attacking from sides), as they won't be able to repeat the fire.

And if the enemy armored units are immobilized in your mine fields, don't forget to eliminate them afterwards, as the German engineers would otherwise repair them and they will be able to advance again.

I will fix it till tomorrow and send it to Lee again as an update of the patch (some other features will maybe included, as I found one more minor mistake now).

Very very very sorry about it. :(

Don't worry Gordon ;P
before I checked the updated files, I thought that the change was made- range increased not significantly.
To be honest, we can assume the 80% of the people thought the Su122 was patched tooas it was said so :)

I already sent the updated version of the patch to Lee, so it should be available soon.

I noticed also another minor bug, so I fixed also this one and added some other refinements.

Well, I know that mistakes happen, but I thought that I would never make such silly mistake such as including the wrong folder structure. Probably it was cause by too much hurry to deliver you that fix for SU-122. Anyway, with the updated version of the patch, it works as it should (proved by testing).

Finished the Ukraine chapter. Kiev was very hard because the superiority of the german armor, specially in the german counter-attack to relieve the citty: after I lost my Su-85s I spend a lot of time to destoy the last Tiger, that s*******h destroyed some 4 or of my pour medium tank.
The Korsun Pocket was also very hard and I had several crashes because of the problems with the patch, the only soluction was give different weapons to the Su-122 (85mm at) and Su-152 (100 mm at) edditing their 1.xml folder. After that I could beat the enemy counter-attacks without any re-load but I lost all my tanks, this was unprecedent
The Sevastopol is the easiest mission in MC. I mean not easy in a "bad way" cause still was very labourious clean the citty, but I almost didnt have losses: no more than 2 tanks and 3 or 4 infantry squads (all infantry I lost cleaning the enemy bunkers).
Another great chapter =D> (and now I'm not affraid anymore of the enemy panzerschrecks).

BTW, any information about your new add-on?

Simply use the updated version of the patch and it will work all right.
