New Here, but have played BK for some time. However I'm stuck on Crete in Green Devils. Any hints, suggestions etc? Goes against the grain just to give up.

Thanks Dunstan

some tips of the developper, translated from german by freetranslation.com

Therefore:

In this mission, the hostile waves of attack change: therefore after each new start of the mission it can happen, the waves of attack English emerge, that you never saw.

Basically: without infantry tactic it is impossible to advance here. Only the form because of therefore the most important information:

German paratroopers are excellente Panzerknacker: they throw garnet further and more exactly than a normal infantry. If therefore paratroopers approach on throw expanse at hostile tanks, that the tank is immobilized in any case.

Moreover important: the storms-mode. If one commands infantry the storming, it races without consideration on losses into the hostile fire. Just if it concerns the Erstürmen of a Pak, it is storm usually loss arms the Infa to let.

Moreover (see on tank School) : Concentrate concentration of the fire: as soon as a hostile Pak is in range, all available fire. That functioned better as if the soldiers belay independent all opponents uniformly with fire.

To the mission tactic:

The troops at the airport are too weak: they are reinforced to be sure through the landing Ju 52. That passes however hardly. It is very meaningful to bring with Ju 52 zusätziche paratroopers out of the air to the airport. These Ju 52 naturally first can be used if the hostile air defense is turned off. The same applies to the Stukas: the player dominates the airspace: as soon as one turned off hostile anti-aircraft defense positions, the Stukas are a real aid.

A tactic can be therefore, to enlighten with the southwestern group to the airport vorzustoßen and at the same time the terrain violent. Possible anti-aircraft defense positions are run over with mass. In the southwestern corner, there is usually English artillery – so far I would remember me relatively unprotected. One can take in the Ari and can ease the life for the advancing troops. As soon as the flight corridor south-north is free, no danger exists for the Stukas and Ju 52, that are shot down it on the way to the airport.

It is advantageous to retained the inspection over the south-north-corridor. If the opponent Bofors new with TRUCK in position brings, one then more easily can delay this.

One can try also to receive equal in the beginning of the game the western tank warehouse, in order to use the prey-Matildas. In the defense of the airport, that help believes one however less than one.

If hostile Matildas approach the own positions, one must prevent that these tanks slowly however certainly the paratroopers to wait „plasters“: instead of in the ditch for the fate, helps here only: out out of the ditch and storm.

Thanks for posting that Klaus.
Here are some tips I noted last night before collapsing in front of the keyboard:

When the map loads you engage the enemy almost immediately. Pull back the mass of infantry on the runway to the east near the supply dump and / or put them in trenches. Move the captured Matador trucks back as well for the time being so that they don't get hit by artillery.
Dig in the captured QF 25 guns and hit the southern part of the airfield where the enemy artillery is. You can also call in Stuka support to clear this part as well - maybe combine it with an infantry attack once the area has been softened up.
Make sure the trenches around the airfield (especially in the north near the road) are well stocked with infantry and position AT guns behind the trenches to engage the Vickers and Humber armoured cars that will attack. Move the 20mm FlaK guns nearer the lines and into range as well.
When the armour attacks infantry in trenches pull some out and send them forward to disable or destroy the vehicles.
Move the Matador trucks near infantry and use the rebuild command. It doesn't matter if the squads don't need rebuilding right away - use the command and the trucks will start replenshing squads when they need to.

To secure the fuel in the south west I used a combination of an infantry attack from the south east combined with a paratroop drop just outside the depot. If you don't lose the JU-52s you will get three (or was it four?) drops out of each plane.

That's as far as I got for now. Hope that helps a little.
